All of us at Catskill Mountain Moccasins are very happy that you have chosen to order a pair of custom moccasins. We want to assure you that we will work our absolute hardest to make you the most comfortable, unique footwear you will ever own! As all of our work is custom and hand made one pair at a time, we would like to give you an idea of what to expect in the coming months. You can check on your order 24/7 by visiting our website at http://www.catskillmoccasins.com and clicking on the check your order link. Please remember that only orders with at least 66% paid are placed on our production list.

 

Delivery timing:

Your receipt contains a delivery estimate in the upper right hand corner shown as month and year. Every effort will be made to hit your target date. If you have an outstanding balance we will call or email you just before we make your moccasins and ask for your final payment. If you are ready to make your payment we will put your order on our immediate to make list. If you are not ready to make your final payment we will set your order aside and wait for you to pay your outstanding balance (in this case please allow 12 to 16 weeks for us to fit you back in to the schedule once your balance is paid). Leathers:

Your order contains unique choices of leather. On very rare occasions some colors may not be available when we need them. Usually this is not a problem. However, if it seems that it will delay the making of your order we will contact you to discuss whether you would like to choose a different color or leather or wait until we receive the color you ordered. Leather is a natural product and variations in color and occasional blemishes are not uncommon. Due to color variations the color you selected may vary somewhat, from the color you receive.

We strive to make sure that your moccasins are made from the cleanest (scar free) leather available. Any slight blemish in the leather will not affect your moccasins durability or functionality.


Original Art

Please note that if your order contains original custom art you will be contacted by your maker to approve the design prior to the cutting of your leathers. Should the maker not hear back from you in a timely manner this will delay the production of your moccasins.

Order with Less than a 66% Deposit:

If you have placed your order with less than a 66% deposit we will occasionally send emails or postcards to remind you that we need an additional payment to place you on an active production list. Once you reach the 66% point your delivery time will be the current delivery time being assigned new orders.
Please note:
Orders that have Quicksilver fine silver buttons and have placed an initial deposit of less then 66% may be subject to a price change if the price of silver increases.
 

 

 

 

 



And finally a few frequently asked questions

 

Q. If I pay my balance off early will I get my moccasins earlier than I was told?

A. No, your estimated delivery date is based on our workload and paying them off early will not move you up on our schedule.

 

Q. What if something happens and I cannot pay off my moccasins.

A. Not to worry, we will not throw out your fitting or order if you are on our production list. We will wait for your situation to improve and make them when you are ready. If it has been to many years we may require that you be refit to insure accuracy. A nominal charge of $25 will be added to your balance if refitting is necessary. After 2 years from order date your balance may reflect a slight price change due to material costs that may have changed during your waiting period. We are sorry but there are no refunds on deposits or moccasins, so that is not an available option.

 

Q. I just got my moccasins and they are tight, is that a problem?

A. Usually the answer is no. They are supposed to fit snug when you first put them on, give them a chance they should relax very soon. Please do not try to put them on with socks when wearing them the first half a dozen times or so. The sheepskin needs to compress to allow room for a thin sock should you choose to wear them.  If after wearing them for a while they still do not feel good please contact us and let us know we want you to be HAPPY!!!!

 

Q. Can I order additional pairs?

A. OF COURSE!  Second, third even tenth pairs are the highest form of praise we can receive! Additional pairs will receive a 10% discount if you still have your pattern.

 

Q. Can I upgrade my order?

A. Yes, of course. Upgrades for buttons, and braided laces are the most common upgrades we do on moccasins. Top weltings and top flaps are also a nice addition.

 

Q. Can I down grade my order?

A. No we do not down grade orders. Any changes to orders will be at an equal or great cost basis.

Q. WOW this is a lot of information do I really need this?

A. Yes, we feel that you do. Reading this gives you something to do while fitting is being done. But seriously, effective communication is the key to making sure that we meet your needs and expectations.

 

Q. I have foot problems i.e.: Diabetes, heel spurs, bunions, fibromyalgia ect. Will my moccasins fix my problems?

A. No, our moccasins will not fix foot problems. However we will make you a pair of moccasins that will take into account your special needs, if you tell us what they are. Please if you want your moccasins extra loose, or tight or longer than normal tell us. Without your help we will not know what we can do for you.

 

Q. I need service on my moccasins for either a fit issue or a resole, what do I need?

A. You MUST SAVE your patterns that you received with your moccasins to receive warrantee repairs regarding the fit of your moccasins. Also if a full resole is needed the original pattern will insure a proper resole can be done.
